Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. beef cubes
- 2 tsp. tenderizer
- 2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3 medium onions, cut in eighths
- 2 stalks celery, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 6 to 8 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 6 to 8 potatoes, cut in quarters
- 2 to 3 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. paprika
- 3 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
Directions

1Season beef cubes with tenderizer and seasoned salt.

2Brown in oil.

3On high heat, add water, onions and celery.

4Bring to boil. Add water if necessary.

5Reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours.

6Add carrots.

7Bring to boil and cook for 15 minutes.

8Add potatoes, water, paprika, bay leaves, marjoram and thyme.

9Cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.

10Serve with buttered crusty-type bread and cole slaw.
