- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 4 squares (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions

1In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter and unsweetened chocolate squares over low heat.

2Transfer chocolate mixture to a large mixer bowl.

3Add sugar; mix well.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until blended.

5In a mixing bowl, stir together flour and baking powder.

6Add to chocolate mixture along with the vanilla; mix well.

7Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

8Sprinkle with the chopped walnuts and chocolate pieces.

9Bake in a 325° oven for 45 minutes or until done.

10Cool.

11Cut into bars.
