  • 500g Mince
  • 1 Large Onion, chopped
  • 100g Streaky Bacon, chopped
  • 1 Red Pepper, chopped
  • 150ml Red Wine
  • Half a Red Chilli, finely chopped
  • 400g Tinned Tomatoes
  • 300ml Beef Stock

Directions

    Dry-fry mine, drain and set aside.

    Heat a splash of oil and fry onion, bacon and red pepper with chopped chilli for 10 minutes.
  3. 3
    Add mince, red wine and tomatoes and beef stock - bring to boil, then simmer for 1 hour, stirring often.

    Use half of this with pasta and mix rest with 1 tin kidney beans to top jacket potatoes.
