Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shifted powdered sugar
  • 12 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 12 cups solid shortening
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 13 cup water, for icing (decorations) or 14 cup water, for stiff (decorations)
  • 14 teaspoon almond extract
  • milk

Directions

    Cream shortening and butter together at med speed.

    Add extracts.
  3. 3
    Slowly add powdered sugar a cup or so at a time.

    Alternate with water.

    Continue to mix at med speed until light and fluffy.

    Add milk a tsp at a time until the desired stiffness.

    Can also play with the flavorings.

    Add more vanilla or almond, even butter flavored.

    (I love it creamier with milk and extra vanilla).

    Will keep in frig for up to 2 weeks in airtight container.
