- 1 bag dry pinto beans
- 2 pork chops
- garlic
- onion
Directions

1Soak beans overnight.

2Drain beans and rinse.

3Put beans, garlic, onion, salt and pepper in a 3-quart pot, cover with water, boil for 5 minutes, stirring.

4Add pork chops and boil for 3-1/2 minutes while stirring.

5Reduce heat to a simmer and cook 3 hours, stirring from time to time.

6Remove chops from pot and with a fork, shred meat and remove bone.

7Return meat to pot.

8Adjust seasonings.

9Serve with chopped onions, cornbread and sliced ham or with warm flour tortillas, cheese and salsa.
