- 1 cup butter
- 12 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 12 cups Quaker Oats
- 1 12 cups flour
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts
- 13 cup preserves
Directions

1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

2Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until fluffy.

3Blend in egg and vanilla.

4Add oats and flour; mix well.

5Shape into 1 inch balls, roll in chopped nuts.

6Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

7Make indentation in center of each ball with your thumb.

8Fill each thumbprint with 1/4 tsp preserves.

9Bake 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.

10Cool on wire rack.

11Store loosely covered.
