- 2 c. pure lard
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 6 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. milk or more (if needed; wine can be used instead of milk)
- 2 tsp. whole anise seed
Directions
