  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 5 3/4 c. flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. applesauce
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 c. shaved almonds

Directions

    Mix the baking powder, soda, pinch of salt and flour.

    Add the eggs and beat 3 minutes.

    Add the sugar, 1/2 cup at a time.

    Add the remaining ingredients.

    Bake in 3 Pyrex greased Reynolds Wrap lined loaf pans at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Re-bake 10 to 15 minutes.
