- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup of lukewarm water.

2Combine dry ingredients and cut into Crisco.

3Stir in yeast and buttermilk. Roll out and cut.

4Let rise or you can cook when first made. Dough may be covered and kept in refrigerator a week or longer. Use as needed.

5Bake at 450°.
