  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening, (3 to 4)
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk, (2/3 to 3/4)

Directions

    Sift flour with baking pwdr, salt, cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse crumbs.

    Add in lowfat milk all at once and mix just till dough follows fork around bowl.

    Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead gently 1/2 minute.

    Roll or possibly pat 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 min.
