- 2 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk (approximately)
Directions

1Sift flour, salt and baking powder.

2Work in shortening until it resembles corn meal.

3Add milk until dough is hard to handle and moist.

4Stir only until flour is moistened.

5Place dough on floured wax paper; sprinkle top with flour and pat to about 2-inch thickness.

6Cut with glass or biscuit cutter and place on pan with each biscuit touching.

7Bake at 450° for about 10 minutes or until done and top is slightly brown.
