- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together.

2Mix shortening in dry ingredients, using pastry blender or 2 knives until it resembles small peas.

3Add buttermilk; roll on lightly floured board.

4Cut and bake in a 450° oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
