- 2 c. self-rising flour (White Lily is best)
- 3 rounded Tbsp. Crisco
- 3/4 to 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Blend Crisco into flour.

2Add milk.

3Stir in with a fork. When all the flour and Crisco mixture is moist, dump onto a dough cloth and sprinkle a little extra flour over this to make it manageable.

4Knead lightly.

5Roll out with rolling pin or pat out gently by hand.

6Cut out biscuits and place on cookie sheet that is slightly greased.

7Bake at 425° until done, but not too long.
