Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, not drained
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 drops hot pepper sauce
- 3/4 c. minced white onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
Directions

1Drain beans, reserving 2 tablespoons liquid.

2Combine beans, reserved liquid, chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin and hot pepper sauce in a blender.

3Process until smooth.

4Combine onion and garlic in a nonstick skillet or saucepan.

5Cover and cook over low heat until onion is soft and translucent.

6Uncover and cook until slightly browned.

7Add chilies and cook 3 minutes more. Add bean mixture and mix well. Garnish with pepper strips.

8Serve with corn tortilla chips. Serve hot or cold, either way it's delicious!
