Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients.

    Stir in water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.

    Spoon batter into paper lined muffin tins, filling 2/3 full with cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar.

    Add egg and salt, beating well.

    Stir in chocolate morsels.

    Spoon one heaping teaspoonful of this mixture into center of each cupcake.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan before serving.
