- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream the first 4 ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients together.

2Combine water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.

3Fill cupcake cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter.

4Top with heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese batter. Sprinkle with sugar and chopped nuts.

5Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

6Makes 22 to 26 cupcakes.
