  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • sugar and chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine the cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, egg and salt.

    Stir in chocolate chips. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add water, cooking oil, vinegar and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Fill cupcake papers 1/3 full with chocolate batter.

    Place a heaping teaspoonful of cheese mixture in center. Sprinkle tops with sugar and nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
