- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 pt. heavy cream, well chilled
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- 3 Tbsp. chocolate shavings
Directions

1Prepare devil's food cake mix as directed. Bake batter in 2 greased and floured 9-inch pans. Cool on rack.

2Place one cooled layer on a serving plate. Spread

31/2 can of cherries on cake layer. Top with second layer. Combine cream, sugar, vanilla and orange rind. Whip until cream is thick and holds its shape. Spread whipped cream on sides and top of cake.

4Spread 1/2 can of cherries on top of whipped cream. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings. Chill before serving.
