- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped black walnuts
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (170 degrees C).

2Blend together butter, flour, white sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add black walnuts and mix well.

3Shape into 1 inch balls. Bake for 25 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Remove from oven and let cool.

4Roll in powdered sugar. Store flat - not stacked on top of each other.
