- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 4 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 crushed bananas
- 1 c. black walnuts
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.

2Combine soda and buttermilk; stir until soda dissolves.

3Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk mixture, beginning and ending with flour.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Add walnuts and bananas, stirring well. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.

6Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 22 to 25 minutes.

7Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove and cool on racks.
