- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 tsp. allspice
- 3 tsp. cloves
- 2 c. blackberry jam
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating until no egg is seen.

2Stir in dry ingredients.

3Add jam and buttermilk. Pour into 3 oiled and floured layer cake pans.

4Bake at 325° until tested done.

5Frost with caramel frosting.
