- 10 lb. blackberries (5 qt. berries)
- 5 lb. sugar
- 2 1/2 qt. boiling water
Directions

1Mash the berries in a crockery container.

2Add water and allow to stand, covered, for 3 days.

3Strain through a jelly bag and put the juice back in the crock.

4Add the sugar and let the juice work. When fermentation has stopped, skim the wine, strain and bottle.
