- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat.

2Stir in sugar until smooth.

3Remove from heat and cool.

4Butter a 9 x 9-inch pan.

5Combine flour, powder and salt; set aside.

6Beat eggs one at a time into sugar mixture.

7Beat in vanilla.

8Gradually stir in flour mixture.

9Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle pecans over top.

10Bake at 325° until blondies come away from sides of pan, 45 to 60 minutes.

11Cool completely before cutting.
