Blueberry Pound Cake

- 1 pt. blueberries, washed and drained well (frozen blueberries may be used)
- 2 sticks softened butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.

3Use mixer to cream butter and sugar.

4Add eggs, one at a time.

5Beat well after each egg is added.

6Add vanilla and beat until fluffy. Dredge berries with 1/4 cup of flour and set aside.

7Sift remaining flour with baking powder and salt.

8Fold into cake batter until well blended.

9Gently stir in berries.

10Bake for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

11Place pan on rack and cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan.

12Serves 12 to 16.
