Blushing Pears

  • 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Raspberry Flavor Gelatin
  • 1 qt. (4 cups) water
  • 4 firm ripe pears, such as Bosc, Bartlett or Anjou, peeled
  • 1/2 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Directions

    Mix dry gelatin mix and water in large saucepan.

    Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring frequently until gelatin is completely dissolved.

    Add pears; partially cover saucepan with lid.

    Return to boil.

    Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 min.

    or just until pears are tender, stirring gently every 10 min.

    Remove pears from liquid; reserve liquid for another use (see Tip below) or discard.

    Serve pears warm or cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.

    Top each pear with 2 Tbsp.

    of the whipped topping just before serving.
