- 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 large slice white bread
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 or 8 almonds, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Soak bread in half the milk.

2Fry onion in 1 tablespoon of margarine.

3Mix curry powder, sugar, salt, lemon juice and add to hamburger.

4Add soaked bread, fried onions, chopped almonds and 1 egg.

5Mix well and put into well greased dish.

6Whisk the remaining two eggs and rest of the milk.

7Season with salt and pepper and pour over the hamburger mixture.

8Put some sliced lemons on top with the rest of the margarine (melted).

9Bake for 45 minutes at 350° standing in a dish of water.
