- 800 grams Boerewors (beef sausage)
- 6 hotdog rolls
- 50 grams butter
- 100 grams Peri Peri Sauce or Roasted Chili Sauce or Tomato ketchup
- 3 large onions, peeled and sliced
- 50 ml olive oil
- 3 clove crushed garlic
- 10 ml white sugar
- 5 ml ground black pepper
Directions

1Make the caramelised onions

2Cut open the hotdog rolls length wise and butter

3Fry the boerewors (beef sausage) in a frying pan over a high heat (or on a braai - barbecue) until meduim to well cooked

4Cut the sausage into 6 equal pieces.

5Place a piece of sausage on each roll

6Add caramelised onions.

7Then top off with your favourite condiment.

8Peri Peri Sauce or Roasted Chili Sauce or Tomato ketchup.
