- 1/2 gal. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 8 whole eggs
Directions

1Put milk in kettle.

2Set kettle in larger pan with water. Heat to boiling.

3Beat eggs and 1/2 cup sugar.

4Beat well; put rest of sugar in hot milk.

5Add 1 cup of hot milk to eggs.

6Beat well, then pour slowly through a strainer into hot milk.

7Cook 10 minutes; never let boil.

8Stir while cooking.

9Add vanilla to taste.

10Chill and serve with whipped cream.
