  • 2 lb. whole okra
  • 2 pieces salt pork
  • 1 tsp. seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 stick margarine

Directions

    Cut and wash okra as desired.

    Place salt pork in 1-quart container or pan.

    Add 2 cups of water.

    Add seasoning salt and bring to boil.

    Add okra.

    Turn temperature to low and add pepper. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes.

    Add butter.

    Turn off heat, should simmer in its own liquid.

    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
