  • 8 ounces salted butter (room temp)
  • 6 ounces light brown sugar
  • 8 ounces flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 18 teaspoon almond extract (optional but good)

Directions

    Gently mix Butter, Sugar, Almond Extract & 1 egg together until combined.

    Add Flour & mix until combined.

    Place mix in greased 9 x 9 pan with a piece of Parchment Paper just in the bottom of pan.

    Spread even, brush top with a little beaten egg then use a fork to gently score the top in a checkered pattern, leaving a fork width of space between each series of lines.

    Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
