Bourbon Balls

Ingredients

  • 2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp. honey or light corn syrup
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. bourbon
  • additional powdered sugar

Directions

    Mix crushed wafers, sugar, pecans or walnuts, cocoa powder, honey and bourbon together until well blended.

    (Mixture should be moist but not soggy.)

    Roll dough by approximate teaspoonfuls into small balls.

    Roll balls in additional sugar.

    Store balls in tightly covered tins in a cool dry place.

    Makes about 5 dozen.
