  • 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. bourbon
  • 4 c. pecan pieces
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries, chopped
  • 1 lb. dates, cut up
  • 1 c. golden raisins

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix together first 4 ingredients. Add rest of ingredients, stirring after each one is added. Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes at 350°.
