- 4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut in 1/4-inch slices
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. fresh apple cider
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. finely chopped crystallized ginger
Directions

1In a bowl, toss apples, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg.

2In a non-stick skillet, heat butter and oil over medium heat.

3Add the apples and saute for 1 minute.

4Pour in cider, cover, reduce heat to medium-low.

5Simmer 12 to 15 minutes or until tender.

6Stir in ginger.

7Serve hot.
