- 14 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- salt and pepper, to taste
- allspice, just a sprinkle
Directions

1Wash and dry celery.

2Brown butter; add celery and saute slowly until golden.

3Add water, salt, pepper and a sprinkle of allspice.

4Cover and simmer until tender.

5Remove cover and continue cooking until all moisture evaporates.
