- 2 lb. beef cubes
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 oz. sharp cheese
- 1 can B & B mushrooms, sliced
Directions

1Brown beef cubes that have been coated with flour, salt and pepper in Crisco in a large Dutch oven.

2Add bouillon cubes, sauce, onion, celery seed and water to meat.

3Cover; cook 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes.

4Add brown sugar and cook 20 minutes more.

5Add cheese and mushrooms and cook 10 minutes more.

6Serve over cooked noodles.
