- 6 slices bacon
- 1 boneless chuck steak
- 2/3 c. dry red wine
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- new potatoes
- 2 cans green beans or 1 lb. fresh green beans
Directions

1Fry bacon in skillet until light brown.

2Drain; crumble and reserve.

3Discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.

4Add steak; brown well on both sides.

5Add wine, water, salt, parsley, pepper, bouillon cubes and reserved crumbled bacon.

6Bring to boil over high heat.

7Cover.

8Simmer over low heat for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until steak is almost fork-tender.
