Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 c. coarse bran
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. dates

Directions

    Stir together flour, bran, baking soda and salt.

    Add remaining ingredients, stirring just until evenly mixed.

    Pour into buttered 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes until loaf tests done in center.

    I make 5 small loaves and freeze.
