Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 4 1/2 c. Bran Buds or flakes
  • 3 c. buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine or butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 3/4 c. flour
  • 3 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Pour boiling water over Bran Buds or flakes.

    Add buttermilk and let cool.

    Cream together sugar and margarine or butter.

    Beat eggs and then add to bran mixture.

    Sift flour, soda and salt.

    Mix all together.

    Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full.

    Bake 22 minutes at 350°.

    Batter will keep in refrigerator 2 weeks.
