- 2 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
- 2 c. Shredded Wheat
- 1 c. margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 5 c. flour
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 1 c. dates, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins (optional)
Directions

1Put All-Bran and Shredded Wheat in a bowl and pour 1/2 cup boiling water over it; let stand.

2Cream together margarine, sugar and eggs.

3Combine dry ingredients (salt, baking powder, flour and baking soda).

4Slowly add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, then add buttermilk, moist cereal, dates and raisins.

5Blend well. Fill desired amount of muffin tins 3/4 full.

6Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

7Excess batter will keep a few weeks or bake all muffins and freeze.
