Ingredients

  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. 100% Bran (cereal)
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. All-Bran (cereal)

Directions

    Pour water over 100% Bran. Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs, milk and 100% Bran. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add All-Bran and let stand overnight in refrigerator before baking. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.

    Makes 3 1/2 dozen. Batter keeps in refrigerator for 7 weeks.
