  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. bran
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. bran
  • 2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Pour boiling water over 1 cup bran and salt.

    Mix all ingredients together and put in a covered dish.

    Keep refrigerated; use as needed.

    Lasts up to 2 weeks.

    Add 1 cup dates, nuts or raisins, if desired.

    Bake in greased muffin tins or muffin cups for 20 minutes at 400°.
