- 1 c. 100% Bran
- 2 c. All-Bran
- 1 pt. buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar (slight measure)
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Pour boiling water over 100% Bran; set aside.

2Cream sugar and shortening.

3Sift together salt, soda and flour.

4Add beaten eggs to creamed shortening and sugar.

5Add soaked 100% Bran.

6Add flour mixture and buttermilk, alternating stirring in All-Bran.

7Put in covered container in refrigerator.

8Can be kept and used for 2 or 3 weeks.
