  • 1 c. Bran Buds
  • 1 c. All-Bran
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening, melted
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. soda

    Pour boiling water over bran and

    Mix other ingredients and add bran.

    Mix all thoroughly

    and refrigerate.

    (Can be kept up to six weeks when tightly covered.) Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
