- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. soft shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar or molasses
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. bran
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Grease muffin tins.

2In a small bowl, combine egg, shortening, sugar, milk and bran.

3Sift dry ingredients together and add to liquid mixture.

4Just mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.

5Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

6Yields 12 muffins.
