Brazil-Nut Stuffing

  • 1/2 pkg. (4 oz.) prepared stuffing
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. chopped Brazil nuts
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. seedless raisins
  • 3/4 c. diced, peeled apple

    Turn stuffing into bowl.

    Add cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Toss to distribute seasonings.

    Melt butter in a skillet.

    Add Brazil nuts and cook until light brown, about 5 minutes.

    Combine water and raisins in a pot.

    Bring to boil.

    Pour over stuffing. Stir in diced apple.

    Will stuff one chicken (about 4 pounds).
