  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Brazil nuts, blanched and chopped
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. chopped Brazil nuts or slivered almonds

Directions

    Melt butter in heavy 8-inch skillet or heavy pan. When melted, add 2 cups sugar. Add Brazil nuts, water and corn syrup. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook slowly 25-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, to crack stage (hard ball), or 290°.
