Ingredients

  • 2 c. white flour
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. gluten flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. powdered milk (optional)
  • 2 tsp. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water (very warm, but not hot!)

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients.

    Melt butter and add wet ingredients. Mix well until dough is smooth.

    Does not need a lot of kneading. Put in large Tupperware bowl and seal.

    Keep in warm place for 1 hour, or until bubbly and at least double in size.

    Form into a loaf and place in oiled pan.

    Let rise another 20 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until nicely browned.

    Store in cloth kitchen towel until used up or freeze as soon as covered. Do not refrigerate!
