- 1 1/2 c. crumbled bread
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Combine crumbs and milk.

2Bring to boiling point.

3Add butter.

4Stir into eggs and sugar, beaten light, in pudding dish. Flavor with vanilla.

5Add raisins.

6Surround dish or individual custard cups with hot water and bake in a moderate 350° oven until brown or until knife inserted comes out clean, about 1 hour.
