  • 2 loaves bread, some may be hard
  • 3 lg. onions, minced fine
  • 3 celery stalks, minced fine
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 tbsp. poultry seasoning
  • Bit salt & pepper
  • Chicken broth to moisten

    Break bread in large container.

    Put onions, celery and butter in skillet and cook.
  3. 3
    Cook slowly till vegetables are tender.

    Put salt and pepper and seasoning, over the broken bread.
  5. 5
    Mix.

    Put some bread in skillet to absorb butter.

    Add in all to bread.

    Add in sufficient stock after it is hot to make all moist (not wet).

    Make in balls.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till brown.
