  • 1 (1 lb.) stale loaf French bread, discard 4 inches
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. pecans, chopped

Directions

    Place bread, torn into pieces, into 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Mix together eggs, milk, sugar, margarine, raisins and pecans.

    Pour over bread slices.

    Bake at 375° until edges puff and turn brown.
